The Dell Inspiron 14z

So the Dell Inspiron 14z is out...and is it good??
Well, you can certainly say so.
The 14.1 inch wide screen display may not be the best place to start from when talking about this laptop, but it is quite good all the same.
A 1.73 Mega Pixel camera is what comes with the screen which is just about ok in good light.. Don't rely too much on it if the light is dim though..

The keyboard is quite simply- Dell!!
It boasts of great keys and feather touch control of these..One of the best parts of the keyboard, unlike in the case of most laptops is the normal size of the directional keys..This becomes a great boost to the user, especially if the user is a gamer.. Many of the gamers generally complain of inconvenience when they shift from a normal desktop to a lappy..Well, Dell makes sure not to disappoint them...
The finishing of the base of the laptop could have been better, undoubtedly..It is very easy to scratch the base and it needs occasional cleaning because of the dust it attracts..As far as the touch pad is concerned, the Dell Touchpad is a very enviable one compared to the touchpads of other brands..
It has a smooth motion and since Dell does not mark the scroller separately, it may be a bit confusing for first time users..

Now comes the best part..The reason that makes this laptop arguably one of the best buys in the market: It's incredible battery backup...It has a stunning 8 hour battery backup, and even under a lot of stress, it may give round about 4.5 to 5 hours of battery.. Most of the smaller atom laptops have a good battery backup, but the screen size or the absence of a DVD drive makes them undesirable..However, a fourteen inch screen and an option of 320 GB or 500 GB HDD coupled with the stupendous 8 hour charge certainly makes this laptop a must-buy.. Yes, the price range is a little bit on the higher side, at 53K INR, but then, it gives the user a Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Ed. with a 4 GB DDR3 RAM, which is a lot better than its DDR2 counterpart..

The external finishing is quite formal, yet attractive, with smooth curves at the base of the screen..You can get this laptop in a variety of colours and arts and the price range will vary accordingly..
